IRL: London’s Most Instagrammable Restaurants

We round up the city’s most photogenic eateries. Warning: lots of marble within.

The Instagram holy truths are as follows: 1. Never, ever use the Nashville filter; 2. Do not like your own photos; 3. Instagram everything you eat – especially when it’s perfectly styled with a dreamy background (extra points for a pink table, exposed brick or marble). We’ve rounded up the best eateries in London worth a ‘gram.

1. The Gallery at Sketch

No filter needed; The Gallery’s pink velvet tub chairs, multi-coloured parquet floor and David Shrigley-filled walls are too beautiful not to share. Particularly social media-worthy is the dinnerware, featuring Shrigley’s witty sketches.

2. Farm Girl Café

From the painted sign on the outside wall to the pastel-pink tables, Farm Girl Café is an Instagrammer’s dream. The Pitaya Bowl – filled with magenta-hued dragon fruit, amongst other tasties – is particularly post-worthy.

3. Bob Bob Ricard

The luxuriously furnished restaurant’s ‘press for champagne’ button is oft-Instagrammed, but its scarlet leather booths, marbled tables and gilded bar are equally photogenic. This is no ordinary diner.

4. Dandelyan at Mondrian London

Pink banquettes, a green marble bar and gold furniture makes Dandelyan worth checking into – plus the drinks are delicious. The 1970s-inspired afternoon tea – complete with botanical cocktails – serves as the perfect focus.

5. Pharmacy

Housed within Damien Hirst’s Newport Street Gallery, Pharmacy – its second iteration – is decorated with one of the artist’s iconic medicine cabinets, as well as pill-shaped bar stools. Check out the Jeff Koons exhibition in the gallery first – the giant sculptures are seriously shareable.
